Module 4 List Building Lingo

By Kerie

How many times have you heard the money is in the list!!!

I’m guessing loads, well working through the latest Dean Holland Starting with Marketing (SWM) module I was surprised when Dean said, “the money is NOT in the list!!!! So if it is not in the list why do you need to build one?

The reason is because the money is in the relationship you form with people on your list.

So how do you form a good relationship with your list?

  • Give value – Educate
  • Help people – Solve problems
  • Give them free offers – Provide solutions

So where is the best place to build relationships?

Your blog, this is where your subscriber knows, likes and trusts you.

When your subscriber knows, likes and trusts you.

This is where the money is!!!

So if you are going to start building a list, what do you need?

By now you should have got your self a blog setup, driving traffic via social media, blog hopping and writing articles along with other tools.

You will need an Autoresponder. I have signed up with Aweber as most people that use lists for their business recommend it. They also have excellent training videos and support, which I am currently working through.

What do you do with your autoresponder?

  • Collect names and email addresses using a web form.
  • Send follow up emails automatically.
  • Send out broadcast emails at anytime (mainly used when launching a product).
  • Give value to your subscribers (Information in a newsletter).
  • Recommend products to your subscribers. (Your own or others which your an affiliated to).

So you got the web form set up and follow up emails with your autoresponder but how do you get subscribers to fill in the web form?

You give them a free gift

What do you use as free?

  • The best product is one of your own
  • If you are still finding your way round then you can purchase a PLR product (Private Label Rights).
  • Use someone else’s product, if it has Master resell rights.

Cheers for now will blog later

    Hi Kerie,
Ah yes. The $$$$$$ is not in the list, but in what WE give to our subscribers in terms of value. You and know it, and we WILL show it. Great summary of module 4. Keep up the good work.

    Once upon a time new Internet marketers were very confused by information overload . . . . . . . until one day . . .

“My what crystal clear posts you have Kerie!” said Jonney when he saw Kerie’s Blog, “All the better to explain things simply so you will understand” replied Kerie

Jonney decided he liked Kerie’s blog posts so much that he would study them carefully and save himself a lot of time and trouble! (Oh and probably get rich in the process!)
    The End – not!

Brilliant posts Kerie, I love them! Can we have some more please?

I know you are really busy however I would truly appreciate if you could take just a minute to post a short comment on one of my blog posts.
