    Hey Kerie,

My first time visiting your blog and I must say nicely done. Let me introduce myself. My name is Jeff Sargent and I was a fellow student with Dean Holland in Alex Jeffreys first coaching program.

I just finished watching your first video but I decided to comment here. It’s not easy making these videos but you’ve done a very nice job. Maybe a little nervous but that’s to be expected and you will get better each and every time you do one. I remember how nervous I was. I’ve only made one myself, although I’ve made many screen capture “How To” videos but those are easier because I don’t show my ugly mug.

You’re right about the pro bloggers not being any different than us. They just have been doing it longer than us, have a better plan and are very consistent on the frequency of posts.

If you stick to it long enough you to can end up being one of the elite bloggers.

Hey… some quality tips there – some blogs look so great it’s very easy to get a little dishearted because you think you can’t compete but the truth is… it’s content over style every time.

Personally – I find creating the content the hardest part – I guess that’s the discipline : )

You know Kerie I have been doing a lot of thinking lately. I really do enjoy my blog. I enjoy creating posts and I really enjoy interacting with my readers; all 2 of them. Ok I hope I have more than that :) Well what I have been thinking about is because I am relatively new I feel like sometimes why would someone want to read my blog when there are hundreds of thousands of blogs out there that probably have better information than I do. I mean why would someone come to me for information about blogging when there are a lot more well known people out there that have a lot more information about blogging. You have a name of one of those well known guys in your tags (Dean Holland). So why would someone come to me about blogging. Why not go to the best. Someone who actually has years of experience and knows what they are doing.

So I have been thinking how can I make my blog different and unique from the rest. I don’t want to just spew out the same information that everyone else has out there. I want to give information to people in my own unique way. I am still working on it, finding my way that is, but I think I am getting there slowly. It will hit me one day. Probably smack me in the face. Maybe its right in front of me I just don’t see it yet. Well anyways one of the ways I think to be unique is to just be yourself in your posts. Be real and be honest with your readers and readers will appreciate that. Everyone has their own style and that makes every blog unique. I think there is room enough for everyone out there blogging. You just need to find your niche and passion and the skies the limit.

Has anyone seen my niche anywhere? Its about 5′5″ 120lbs. If you do can you send it over to my blog.

    Hey All

@Jeff -Thanks for your comments. I was certainly nervous I don´t know why, as an school teacher I am used to standing in front of a group of people and presenting information, but I certainly plan on more videos I have bought a flip camera just for that purpose.
I will be watching your video on backlinks, at the moment I am using an Internet cafe as I am having trouble connecting at home but once I am on I will watch it.

@Allen – I know content can be difficult but great resources are Google Feeds and Ezine articles.

@Jim – Come on you have more than 2 followers. I am always amazed at how a group of people can all be given the same information but all read and understand it differently which can then be written differently for different audiences.

@Mick – Thanks for the comments on the video I am working on a few ideas to create more videos so just check this space. Dean is a great mentor. His teaching style is so easy which takes alot of the stress away.

@Mike – Optimism is the key to succeeding in life, when you feel that everything is going to go wrong it usually does, when you feel everything is going right then it does. A great example is thinking that you are going to find a parking space you usually do.

    Cheers Kerie :-D

  6. Hi Kerie

Wonderful tips :-) ..I agree if your a newbie blogger its better to focus on a niche your passionate about or have knowledge in. Its far easier to stick with something you love talking about, too many new bloggers give up when the results of their blog isnt what is expected…before starting a blog its important to have a plan of action and follow it through. It also does help if you apply the right strategies and tactics to make your blog a success, but it just takes time.

That is true Kerie. Everyone interprets information differently and everyone has their own style of writing. I guess that is what makes every blog a little different and unique. I think I am up to 3 readers today :)
